Transaction BOBX error while import note 0001939019

Hi all,

I tried to install transaction BOBX but when I import above mentioned note I got following error message while activating:

Class /BOBF/CL_CONF_UI_MANAGER,Methode DO_ACTION 161

Method "ACTIVATE" is unknown or PROTECTED or PRIVATE. 

Class /BOBF/CL_CONF_UI_VIEW_MODIFIER,Method USER_COMMAND 52

Method "ACTIVATE" is unknown or PROTECTED or PRIVATE. 

Currently, our system is on SAPK-73106INSAPBSFND.

Any ideas?

Dear Andreas,

I believe you are referring to note 1939016.First of all: Thanks for notifying us that the BOBX is out: It's the new customer-released designtime which has much more features than the previously limited BOB (this is BOB eXpert-mode ). But of course it's a bug that the correction is not complete.

I just did a quick search on the active-method and found it included in 1900467 - BOPF: New trace function . I simply believe that the colleagues have forgotten to add it as prerequisite. Anyway, I'd recommend the trace-note as this vastly improves analysis-capabilities.

Would you give it a try and let us know about the results?

thanks for your advice. I will check out this note later this week due to some manual implementation that needs to be performed.

the missing dependency of the note is a known. We will fix this within the next days.

Hello Andreas,

i ran in the same and some further problems, when i implemented note 1939016 on our training master (7.31 SP3).

(The problem is, that the OSS note implementation test tool doesn't check the syntax. So implementing a note on a lower SP is always a matter of luck.)

With my own note implementation experience - i reworked and released 1939016 now. Since the attached correction instruction 1345257 was reworked and a second instruction 1354690 was added, the note has to be reimplemented on a system, where it is already installed. If this is not possible or makes trouble, don't hesitate to open an OSS ticket, then i'll fix it manually.

Note 1900467 - mentioned by Oliver - is not a precondition, but won't harm.

release version 5 for OSS note 1939016 - New transaction BOBX is availabe since 31.01.2014

Are all implementation problems solved with this release?

Yes the implementations issues of this note are fixed in meantime. Please feel free to implement and work with BOBX.
