text in another language

Hi

If Iwant to get translated text for text e.g. text-007 while login is in English

in another language. What can do ?

Hi,

Try transaction SE63. It can be used to translate text in different language.

Goto Translation->R/3 enterprise->Short text, select ABAP text->REPT text elements

On the next screen enter the program name in which the text element is defined and then select the source and target languages.

Click on edit and then enter the corresponding text in the required language against the source language.

Now when you login the system in the new language then the program will display the text in that language.

do you mean

e.g.

set language 'P'.

Hi,

No, you may not have the facility to change the language by writing the code here.On the screen you'll see two slection screen blocks. The second block which says Translation , you'll see two input boxes with F4 enabled. In the the source language select the language in which the text element is already defined and in the target language press F4 and set the language in which you want to translate. Now maintian the text in the other language. When you log in the target language and run your program the text elements will be diaplayed in the language you had defined in SE63.
