Hi,
ABAPer has changed the description of a transaction code. The change is not reflecting in the menu of the user to which that tcode is attached. Once the user executes the transaction, new description is appearing at the top of the initial screen (of the transaction). Also, in SUIM, I can see the new description. But the user is insisting that he should be able to see the new description in user menu. One way of doing this is to delete the tcode from the role and include the same again. Without doing this, is it possible to make the new description appear in user menu?
Thanks in advance.

No. The description is retrieved from the transaction code (table TSTCT) when you enter it into the menu section of PFCG. You will have to re-enter before the user menu is updated.

Hello Rajaram,
You need to channge the description of the transaction in the role. Go to PFCG and enter the role in change mode. Go to meny tab. Select the transaction that needs to be changed. You will find a change button icon inside the menu tab ( in the same row where you will find push buttons for transaction, report, other etc.). Click on change mode. You will get a pop up. here you can change the description accordingly. This is another way of solving it with deleting the transaction. However this proceedure is better than deleting the t-code and readding it coz it will save your time in regenerating the role profile.
Please award points if it solved the issue for you.
With Regards.

Hi,
you have change the transaction code description in the Area menu also.
For that <b>T-code is SE43</b>.
Go to SE43.
Check which area menu are you using.
Otherwise search for Z* and choose your Menu.
Select the 'Change Icon' and add your program with Tcode in the appropriate place.
Kindly reward points for all useful answers & close the thread if the problem is solved!
