Table maintenance and OBJH

Hi

we have a database table ZZVALLEYT that we need a maintenance view for. We created a table maintenance dialog for the
same in development system (DS3) and transported to the quality system (PP3) where its working fine. The problem is that
when the same is transported to the production system (PS3) it throws an error stating
"Check maintenance object ZZVALLEYT or update function group ZZVALLEYT".

Steps performed by us to check the issue

1. The transports of the function group and the table definition are in sync in PP3(pre-prod) and PS3(prod).
2. An entry exists in table TVDIR for the maintenance view ZZVALLEYT.

Note:
While debugging we found that the error is thrown because there is no entry for table ZZvVALLEYT in table 'OBJH'
in the production system while there is a corresponding entry in the dev and the pre-production system.

Check in transport request(s) the presence of

- R3TR TABL <tablename> for the table definition

- R3TR FUGR <functiongroupname> for the function group

- R3TR TOBJ <tablename>S or V for the object definition (table or view)

Make sure that transport requests have been imported without any errors in the productive system.

Hi Raymond I retransported with all the parameters you mentioned viz

Main request

under task1

LIMU  TABD

under task2

R3TR FUGR

R3TR TABU

R3TR TABU

R3TR TOBJ

When I see in SE03 in Production , I see the following parameters under my request

Table Definition

Function Group

Table Contents

Definition of a Maintenance and Transport Object

But still there is no entry in OBJH

Try to find your object via transaction SOBJ in development system. (You can generate a transport request from this transaction)

NB: This transaction manages the R3TR TOBJ objects, table OBJH and texts OBJT (via view V_OBJ_H) created via SE54/SE11, the object name is the table or vie or cluster + one character for the type (C, L, S, T; V or D domain OB_TYP)

As your transport request contains the R3TR TOBJ object, this problem should not have occured, check the transport logs (open every node of the log)

Hi Sameer,

Please check if all the transport requests containing relevant objects are imported to Production in the proper sequence without error.

Also check if any  post-import activity is pending or not..

Imports get transferred w/o errors. I am not aware of any post import activity  vis-vis maint. views, are there any ?

Hi Sameer,

Regarding the Post impliment acivity  ,You can check with the Basis team or Functinal team asssociated with this activity .

If problem still persits, please re-import all Transports with correct sequence by checking all the Dependencies of the Objects involved in Transport requests.

Solved it by transportng the request again and by selecting overwrite requests in stms while pulling the transport. Seems it was a Transport error.
