Use SM30 or Go to SE11, give the table name and click on change. Then Go to utilities--> Table maintenance generator.

In the table maintenance generator screen, we should give Authorization Group, Function Group name (Function Group name can be same as table name), Maintenance type can be one step or two step, usually we will create with one

step. we should give maintenance screen number. After clicking on create button, a table maintenance generator will be created.

To check it go to SM30 . In SM30, we find display, Maintain options.

We can view the table contents by choosing Display and we can create table entries by choosing Maintain.

hi,

TABLE MAINTENANCE GENERATOR: is a tool which is used to create a equipment by which customized tables created by end users can be changed as required, such as making an entry to that table, deleating an entry etc

using it we can upload values into the database tables without going to the table in se11.

all of the guys using sap (FUNCTIONAL PEOPLE) will not have authorizations for se11 so using TMG we can upload in se30.

cration of tmg.

Go to SE11, give the table name and click on change. Then Go to utilities--> Table

maintenance generator.

In the table maintenance generator screen, we should give Authorization Group,

Function Group name (Function Group name can be same as table name),

Maintenance type can be one step or two step, usually we will create with one

step. we should give maintenance screen number. After clicking on create button,

a table maintenance generator will be created.

To check it go to SM30 . In SM30, we find display, Maintain options.

transaction code.:

using that code we can go to the apllication directly without going to se38 and giving its prog name and then executing. ex se38, mm01,va01

you can create the tcode in se93.

go to se93.

give the tcode name.

give progname and screen number

and save it

select check boxes for gui support

HI,

Table Maintenance generator is required to do Manual entries in the Table.

If the requirement is to update the table only programmatically

and not manually then table maint generator is not required.

Manual entries in table can be maintained ( New record can be inserted / existing can be modified )

using transaction SM 30, if the table maintenance for the table is generated.
