Syntax error in program "SAPLCN2002_ACT "

The following syntax error occurred in the program SAPLCN2002_ACT :

""LS_BAPI_TE_ACT" and "EXTENSIONIN+30(960)" are not mutually convertibl"

I researched this error and found this note. OSS Note 637345 specifies to create dictionary structure with the same fields as my CI_AFVU but make all the fields CHAR fields. Then, change structure BAPI_TE_NETWORK_AVTIVITY to use this new append structure.

The problem is the structure BAPI_TE_NETWORK_AVTIVITY comes with pre-assigned append structure CI_AFVU. To change this would cause a MOD to the SAP code. In my organization, we are not allowed to make modifications to the SAP code.

Please advise.

Hi Julia..

There is a solution for this..

Please copy your structures to Z-Structures. Ex. CI_AFVU, BAPI_TE_NETWORK_ACTIVITY.

Also copy BAPI to a ZBAPI.

Try executing this..

Thank you for your help.

I really did not want to make a modification to our system - but that is what i ended up doing. I created a ZCI_AFVU structure with all character fields. Then i modified the BAPI_TE_NETWORK_ACTIVITY and BAPI_TE_NETWORK_ACT_ELEMENT to point to this new structure. It tested out successfully.
