Hi friends,
Iam executing a report
on my selection screen i have push button ' MAIL ' , When i click on it the data from the internal table should be automatically mailed to a mail id...
Iam facing a problem here , when i hit the execute button on the selection screen the program is doing the data validation and after that its going fine into the stat of selection event and fetching all the records.
But when i hit the MAIL push button after doing the data validation its not going into the start -of slection event.. its comming back to the selection screen...
can any one tell me why this happeing... and how can i correct it..
Regards
Kumar

Start-of-selection event will not be triggered by clicking a push button(MAIL) on the selection screen.
Write your coding in at selection-screen event ... (remove start-of-selection) .. U'll get the desired result
see, the at selection-screen events where you have written the code for validation will any ways be triggered as you are on the selection screen.
but the time when you click the mail button on the selection screen, it triggers the event at user-command event.
so better you keep a subroutine to fetch data and call it on both events.
by the way srini,
if he removes start-of-selection he wont get output when he press execute, and if he doesnt have an end-of-selection event to display the data.

Hi,
after you hit the Function code..
the code will starts from at-usecommand.
try to call the subroutines at the at user-command ..
the start of selection will not trigger if you hit the function code..
