Hi Experts,
I have to display some text in the smart form. For that, do I need to create the Standard text or just I can hard code the text given. I think , Standard text is created, if we have to translate the text into different languages. Please clarify,..

Khadeer,
the best practice is to create a standard text and then use it. This will give a flexibility that if in future client want to use it for different language it just needs a translation.

Hi,
I would use text modules and translate them via SE63.

Standard text where designed to support sapscritp, text modules are designed to support smartforms.
But I imagine standard text can still be used with smartforms for downgrade compatibility.
If you read the sap portal documentation about sapscript text or standard text you have this:
"If there is no need for you to use old SAPscript texts, use text modules instead. They can be used across clients and are connected to the transport and translation systems."
Hope it helps!
