hi all

i m customizing a smartforms. my client is wanting the customer adress should be underlined. in style i created one character format which ll give the underline char. but i don know how to use in my form.

Create a paragraph format and use the same in SMARTSTYLES.

In SMARTSTYLES under STANDARD SETTINGS tab we have a checkbox UNDERLINED,tick that.

Use the same SMARTSTYLE and the same Paragraph format in the smartform text editor.

If any doubt revert it.

this all i hav created and activated also in style . but in smartform how to put that style (char format) when i m creating address window...

Soumya,

Go the text editor of that particular window and give the paragraph format which you created in smartstyle for underlining

p1 &itab-name1&

In the text node of the address window you will find the OUTPUT OPTIONS give the smartstyle name.

here p1 is the paragraph format we created in the smartstyel

itab1-name1 is the text element

i m creating one customer adress.here it is include text and the value is like this&GS_HD_ADR-ADDR_NO&. now tell me is it possble to put style in include text?? if yes then how??

1st clear me a doubt is it a text window or not???

If it is a text window then u can change the style

no it is adress window... and there i have to put style. suppose i have created stle name zlo_style. in this the character or paragraph format is UL. i m able to put zlo_stle in output option. but i don know where to put UL.

Have u created a character format and specified a underline to that or not in smart styles??

If not follow this procedure

Generally in smartforms we use the smartstyle <b>/SMB40/SF</b>

so in smartforms

check the radio button <b><i>Style</i></b>

Give the smartstyle name <b><i>/SMB40/SF</i></b>

Then goto change mode

Right click on the Paragraph or Character Formats or press F5

Give any name which will be easier for you to identify later

Specify all your necessary requirements such as Underline, charcater size, format etc

then save it and activate it then u can use this format in ur smartform

If u want to use it in smartform do as follows

After creating your own<b> TEXT</b>window in the same pane on the top you can see two tabs for Paragraph Format & Character Format From there u can select particular format

Hi ,

Right clcik on text .

Under output options in styles selectthe name of style created in smartstyles .

Under general attributes tab select the text and in character format select

the newly created character format in smartstyles . As soon as u can see the effect of that character format in the editor itself .

Do one thing in the text window

U can see an editor Option click on that then from there declare as below

For underlining use <u></u>, for example:

[ u]Good Morning[ /u]

after creating a smartstyle of your own below font style u can see an option <b><u>Underline</u></b> Check that box from there u can create an underline

please understand the question . i have already created the style which ll take care of character format . but i don know how to use that style in address window. i have given the style name in output option. but there are so many types of style so how to assign that particular style

Give the style name in which you have created the character format for underline and give the character format UL(as u had created) in the text editor of that particular window.

If I am not you would have copied a standard style into a zstyle and in that you had created a charcter format for underline right? then you have to give this zstyle in the address window.

In your Smartforms---->Global Settings -->Form Attributes -->Output Options

In this tab, fill Style with your smartstyles you defined.

Now, you can see your defined styles in text editor.

hey pavan

i saw ur documentation . this is used when u r creating ur own text. or when text is there. but here case is i need underline in adress window. this i m not getting. hope u ll give me the helpful input.

Hi shekahr,

Its simple.

create a style in smartstyles.

go to smartforms.

in your output options add the name of style in stle column.

this will be reflected in the text element which u are making.

use this in ur form whereever u need it.
