We need to output a PDF letter, so used Smartforms. The functional person linked the smartforms as the output mechanism, but after I activated my form and tested it, it seems the form is not linked at all, still outputting the original form. I checked with the functional person, says it is linked to the new form, activated. I am so puzzled here.
Anything we are missing here?

Hello,
Check the Transaction NACE for the particular output / message Type. You can see which form is linked.

Hi Blue - As Deepan suggested. Go to t-code NACE. From where is the form triggered, select the application appropriately eg if Sales then V1 etc.. You should be knowing the output type. Chose it and click processing routines..
You should be able to see if the right form has be configured or not..

Raju.

Hello Blue,
In addition to what is suggested in posts above, you can also check if the smartform name is hardcoded in driver program.

Form name can also be entered in the output condition record. This would override the setting in the configuration.
Although there are many "outputs" on SAP, you might want to clarify which one you are talking about exactly.

Hi Blue,
In Addition you can also check table TNAPR whether the smartform is configured correctly.

How would this be different from NACE transaction that has already been mentioned twice?

Hi Jelena,
Thats what I mentioned as
in Addition that it is a table for smartform configuration.
I wanted to inform that we can check either NACE or TNAPR table(generally as an ABAPER) i check first the table if the Functional guy says it is configured already.
I should have added that NACE affects this table.Next time I will be more clear.
