Smartforms Alignment issue.

Hi All,

In a invoice form the header and the item alignment are same but it is displaying as below print screen. Please check and let me know if anyone have any idea. I want to remove the space which is rounded. The both the alignments are left justified.

Try to make the columns a bit wider. Sometimes Smartforms act a bit strange.

Are you using TABLES to print the table? Are you using Header/Main Area of the same table node? Make sure the Line type has got same spacing in both.

Then consider checking paragraph formats ( for Header/ Item ) if you are using different paragraph formats.

Hi Rudra,

Yes you are correct, I am using one table with Header/ Main Area of the same table. I am using the same paragraph format in both header and item level. In header level paragraph is bold, that is the difference between those to paragraph format.

One more thing I changed the paragraph format for header as same as item in translation then also it is not reflecting on display.

Please check and let me know If anything I missed out.

Hi Satya,

Please check the spacing given for each field between Header and Item.

Sometimes we also need to compress the extra space which occurs, try checking Text formatting options.

&symbol(C)&      Compress Spaces

This should resolve the issue.

Can you paste the screen shot of Table which you have used in Smart form to analyze further ?

I used (C): Compress Spaces in Item level But I did not use in Header level.

I will check later and let you know. Thanks for you feedback.

Hi KC,

Header level I am not able to change because of the hard code value, But in item level i removed the (C) from the variable, but it did not impact any changes. Please give me some more idea.

Hi Satya,

Can you check, if the header of the table descriptions are set here: TABLE_HEADER

Do you have issue with U5 or U4...? Try reducing the cm of the previous field and execute.

Is it resolved?

You can change it in Dev server and test if that is causing any issue..?

Sometimes, in print preview, it will show differently..when you print, it print's correctly.

If it is resolved, can you share what was the issue?

No it is not resolved till now. I tried in every scenario but I failed. I will try again tomorrow.
