I just created a Table in SE11.

I have gone to maintain this table in SM30 but I cant see what the field names are...

Instead I only see +

Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it?

This is becoz you have selected two step in the table maintenance screen...try to use ,select one step and this error will be resolved

Utilities -> table maintenance generator . In this screen, in the tab

dialog data transport details : select No selection for compare flag.

Also ensure that the first (index) field of the table is MANDT for the client

Unfortunately I change it to one step and it didnt make a difference...

I still get + where the field names should be...

Any other Ideas?

You must associate Data Elements to table fields, where you maintain Short, Medium and Long text for the field contents.

Then you probably must regenerate table Maintenance.

Please specify the field labels for your dataelements.

This will definitely work

Are you getting field names as + or thier description?

This is becuase the data element is not having any description

you can see this by checking the data element text

please create a new data element and try.
