What is SLIS_SELFIELD?Anything like slis_t_listheader/slis_listheader?
2007 Dec 20 3:54 AM
Hi Gopi,
Slis_selfield will describe the heading of the column in alv.
Hello,
SLIS_SELFIELD is a part of the USER-COMMAND.
I'll explain you briefly.
In ALV's we use AT USER-COMMAND for the input action to be performed.
example for user action : double click, enter ,etc...
so the syntax for it is,
FORM SUB AT USER-COMMAND
UCOMM LIKE SY-UCOMM
FIELD TYPE SLIS_FIELD.
ENDFORM.
So, when the user action is performed ( for ex: DOUBLE CLICK ) , the values of that cursor information is stored in SLIS_FIELD. then after, we extract the data, based upon the selection field, which is stored in the FIELD.
For documentation you can refer to type-pool SLIS, where we get the FUNCTION MODULE DOCUMENTATION. This is info is available there.

It has different fields like,
types: begin of slis_selfield,
tabname type slis_tabname,
tabindex like sy-tabix,
sumindex like sy-tabix,
endsum(1) type c,
sel_tab_field type slis_sel_tab_field,
value type slis_entry,
before_action(1) type c,
after_action(1) type c,
refresh(1) type c,
ignore_multi(1) type c, " ignore selection by checkboxes (F2)
col_stable(1) type c,
row_stable(1) type c,
colwidth_optimize(1) type c,
exit(1) type c,
fieldname type slis_fieldname,
grouplevel type i,
collect_from type i,

SLIS is a Type group in which slis_selfield maintained under development class SLIS. Check in transaction SE80.
slis_selfield is a structure and provides information cursor position in ALV.
e.g.
if you double clik any column then using this you can process at user-command and show new transaction... etc.
Regards,
Maha

There are a number of ways to create a fieldcat.
For the purpose of this example i will build the fieldcatalog manualy
by populating the internal table fields individually and then
appending the rows. This method can be the most time consuming but can
also allow you more control of the final product.
Beware though, you need to ensure that all fields required are
populated. When using some of functionality available via ALV, such as
total. You may need to provide more information than if you were
simply displaying the result
I.e. Field type may be required in-order for
the 'TOTAL' function to work.
