Good day.

As a SAP security team member, want to know more about simplification list.

What is a role of security consultant on simplification list? Is simplification list only used by Functional and BASIS consultants?

Hello Karthika,

Yes S/4HANA Readiness Check (Simplification List, Custom Code Analysis, Add-on Compatibility, Sizing and more) requires more involvement from Basis, Functional, App/Dev folks. Security team doesn't play much role here, but they have lot in their table once the system is converted.

Thanks for your answers and suggestions.

So, Simplification list are not meant for security team and it is up to security team to look into the simplification note to get the idea on changes might happen as part of conversion.?

But Does Simplification list provided new/obsolete transaction, table wont help security team to plan a impact before conversion/upgrade?

Hello Karthika,

Simplification list do provide list of new/obsolete transaction, but you won't find that it as separate section which highlight all the new/obsolete transaction code. They are mentioned based on the topic.
