Hi-

I am planning to create shipment using BAPI BAPI_SHIPMENT_CREATE and SD_SHIPMENT_STATUS_SET.

My question is, will it issue the output types associated with it?

Even thought the BAPI run it background it will create??

yes.. BAPI normally run the transaction in background (exceptions are dialog BAPIs).

BAPI_SHIPMENT_CREATE is a released BAPI. It should not cause any problem.. Give it a try.
