Sending e-mail from ABAP

We need to send email to an external adress from ABAP. Does anybody know a function module or method to do this, maybe even with sample coding?

Hi Dirk,

The function module to use is SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1; it is quiet documented in SAP.

Look at function modules under function group SOI1. You will see function modules that allow attachments.
