Selection Text Length in Report Creation

Hi all,

In Selection text I want to display more than 30 characters. How can I make it while report creation?

hi Suresh,

make use of

SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT statement.


SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF LINE.
PARAMETERS : P_VBELN LIKE VBAK-VBELN.
SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT 1(79) TEXT-001 FOR FIELD P_VBELN.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF LINE.

PARAMETERS : p_matnr TYPE mara-matnr.

SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT 1(79) TEXT-001 FOR FIELD p_matnr.

SELECTION-SCREEN END OF LINE.

Do declare the more than 30 characters in selection criteria use the below code

SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF LINE.

PARAMETERS : p_werks TYPE marc-werks.

SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT 1(79) TEXT-001 FOR FIELD p_werks.

SELECTION-SCREEN END OF LINE.

Hope the above code would solve ur purpose in Text-001 double click write ur selection criteria which u want to display.

1(79) is position of selection text.

Use Text Element .

SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT statement.

SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF LINE.

PARAMETERS : P_matnr LIKE MARA-MATNR.

SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT 1(50) TEXT-001 FOR FIELD P_MATNR.

SELECTION-SCREEN END OF LINE.

Here it will display the text whatever defined in TEXT-001 upto 50 chars length.
