SE16N Data Export

Hi,

I've tried to export data using the export options in SE16N to local file(txt) but unfortunately I find that not all fields(column) is being exported into txt.

Is there a limitation of fields that I can change or set? What can I do if I want to view the entire fields for the record?

Please check whether you are displaying all columns in SE16N before you save them to a file.

Yes, I've checked that all fields are being displayed.

Eg. In MARA table, the fields that gets exported into local file is from Material No to Gross Contents.

Fields that is after Gross Contents were not being exported. I'm just wondering is there a limit of fields.

Hi

Try Downloading in Spreadsheet format (.xls) and then try converting into Tab delimited text.

Tried the spreadsheet format as well. 2 problems occur.

1) Not all the fields is being exported into the spreadsheet.

2) When records grows more than 3K, spreadsheet hangs. I think because it's taking up a lot of resources trying to format it into rows and columns.

More importantly, it's quite weird why all selected fields are not being exported.

Hi Ruben,

When you display the data via SE16N try to increase the width of your List display. Normally it will be like

Table: MVKE

Displayed Fields: 68 of 68 Fixed Columns: 4 List Width 0250.

Replace 0250 with maximum width of 1023. I think it will work. You can do this setting in Selection criteria as well. Then try to download.

I don't remember seeing that options in 4.7 but I've seen it in 4.6c.

Apparently, displaying in SAP is ok but not after downloading it.

Hi,

Actually due to some error I could not run SE16N but it worked perfectly for me in SE16.

I just changed the width of output to 1023 in Selection screen of SE16. Select all the fields as display. Then downloaded it to excel from menu path Edit-> Download. I able to see all the fields. COuld you please tell me which table u r trying to download.

I'm trying to download from MARA table which has 127 fields if I'm not mistaken.
