Screen Painter problem

Hello Everybody!

I am trying to build a module pool program. first i went to transaction code SE80 and created a program. then i right clicked on the programname and from create, i chose screen. after putting in the essential parameters, when i click on LAYOUT, after a few seconds, i get an error message "No Response from Graphical Screen Painter" and Screen Painter never starts.

Please tell me what might have gone wrong! Thanks in advance.

Hi,

It seems that the GUI was not properly uinstalled in your system.

So you are not getting the graphical screen painter.

Reinstall the GUI by selecting the latest verison of GUI components.

Hi,

you should install SAP Gui again and make sure you have selected Development Tools option.

Do you have ECC6.0 then ask BASI to install patch 22 for SAP GUI 6.4.

If older version still post the prblem to your basis team as they need to reconfigure your SAP GUI.

you need to install two GUI components for this...

Hi Grapical user editor components in SAP GUI may not have been installed.

If you can work with alpha-numeric editor, just got to settings-> Screen painter

uncheck graphical layout editor, you will not get the error message

If you want to have Graphical editor, reinstall the GUI with Graphical components
