I have to change a standard text. No need to transport it.
So I want to save it without a request number .
Is there any options???

Hi laxmi,
For changing the standard text, does require a transport request. Its client independent so it wonu2019t ask you any Transport request. If you want to transport then you need to go with below program.
RSTXTRAN Transfer of SAPscript Texts to a Correction
And to change the standard text use transaction SO10

I want to change the txt of data element using CMOD transaction. After changing, while saving it is asking a request.
I would like to skip that step but its not allowing me to go ahead

Hi Lakshmi,
If it is not allowing you without giving a request number, then its better you create your own request number and store in it. This can be done by clicking on Own request button on the screen where it is asking the request number.

hiii
Then i dont think you will be able to save without giving request..because if you changing from CMOD then it is needed to give some transport request..but you can give new request number but dont relese it.so it will be like dummy and it will not create any problem.

hiii,
If you dont want to give transport request then you can save that standard text in local..dont assign to any package it will automatically take &tmp package.so it will not ask you for transport request..if you save it in particular package created by somebody then it will ask you for transport request.

Hi Lakshmi,
I think its better to save under a request rather than saving in local object. But keep the appropriate comments to the request like dummy request or don't transport like that so that you can ignore the request while trabsporting.
Hope this will help.

lakshmi ,
just save in local object.it is the answer of your first post in this thread.
then you wrote:

I would like to skip that step but its not allowing me to go aheadlakshmi Changing of data element discription is never suggested if you change its discription than every where in your SAP when this data element is used getting affected so i would suggest you to just copy the data element and channge in your customise data element and finally attach it to your place where you want
