can any 1 say me the difference between the security log n its use and authorization trace??

By security log did u mean system log via SM21 ?

Hi Kamal,

If you mean SM20 by Security Log, It talks about Security Audit Log. It deals with the following Audit Classes:

Dialog Login

RFC/CPIC Login

RFC Call

Transaction start

Report Start

User master record change

other events.

For ex: If you want to find out like " What are the transactions started by a user during some period, it is possible to do it through SM20"

Where as Trace(ST01) is used for tracing. You can switch on the trace and Debug

to see what went wrong. To find our more:
