Sales Upload problem

Hi Experts,

I have problem with the sales upload. First, This user create a program ZMM_INTERFACE_SALES for the sales upload with his Id. But the user who have created this is no longer with our company. So i have to delete his user ID in SAP interface.

Now the problem is, once i delete his user ID, the sales that i've scheduled for the sales upload in SM37 got error with message " Logon of user (His User ID) in client 100 failed when starting a step.

So my question is... is it ok if i create the same User ID in Client 100 in order for the sales upload to successfully generated? Or any other way. plz advice...

Are you facing this problem on sessions created from that Id only or on all sessions created after deletion of his id.

Chk in that program whethet user use some hardcode value for user id.

Check the program where the previous ABAPer has used hard coding in case of User Id .

Hi ,

Go through the program ZMM_INTERFACE_SALES in SE38 . Check for hard code.

Sounds like he scheduled the job, using his own ID as the job step user....

Change the step user to a SYSTEM type user authorized for whatever the report does.

It is advisable not to delete user ID's but rather "retire" them into a past validity, and also check whether they are defined in job steps before doing that.

Hi Julius,

FYI, Im the one who scheduled the job(using my ID).. but at previous stage he is d one who scheduled, then i just copy from his ID. Last two days, i've deleted his ID and i check in the morning the sales files error log and data was not found. Then i tried to create the same ID yesterday and it seems to be ok. i can get the sales file now.

Btw, what should i do to recover the sales error log and data that was not found on the day the sales got error? plz advise. where should i get and find the sales file back? Plz advise. Thanx.
