Sales Order Creation

Hi,

I need to create a sales order by uploading data from an excel file. So far I've been able to successfully create the order and obtain an order ID. I can also confirm creation by checking transaction VA03.

Now, I want to know what fields are needed to be uploaded to create a MINIMAL sales order and also the function of the EBAN table while creating a sales order.

This is the format of the excel file I am using

itm_number, material, plant,target_qty, short_text, matl_group, itm_categ, gross_weight, unit_of_weight, sales_unit, net_weight, ship_to_num, sold_to_num, name, street, pstl_code, city, country, req_date

Also, I define other header fields from a selection screen.

With the above fields, I get an order created, but are these logically valid fields? If so, please explain the logic of how they are interconnected.

Hi Erlence,

I am trying to do the same type scenario of creating a sales order and uploading the sales order item info from delimited text file. We are uploading RMA data into the sales order. Would you please share with me how you accomplished this in creating a sales order? I need this as soon as possible. Your help will be much appreciated.

Hi,

to create the sales order, u use a BAPI

BAPI_SALES_ORDER_CREATFROMDAT1

or something like that. i dont remember the name exactly but u will find it easily.

all u need to do is just create internal tables of the type of the parameters to the BAPI, fill in the data and call the FM

after this, call BAPI_COMMIT_WORK and not commit work ABAP stmt.

since u r uploading data from a text file, there are many FMs available to do this. should not be too hard.
