Hi all,
I just activate the security audit function in SAP system by using SM19. I can find the audit log file xxxx.aud in the location specified in the Static Profile. However I can not find SQL_++++++++.AUD in the location specified by rsau/SQL-Audit/logdir parameter. Why is that??? my Database server is MS SQL 7.0
Thanks
Alvin

Hi Alvin
What is the value for rsau/SQL-Audit/switch? Is there any AV1 message in your system log regarding security audit?

Hi Désirée
thanks for reply me.
I have been stupid to overlook the parameter rsau/SQL-Audit/switch. its value is OFF. I think this is reason why I can not find the SQL_++++++++.AUD file.
Thanks for remind me.

Hi Désirée
Sorry, we are not going to activate the SQL audit at the moment, but I guess the value of rsau/SQL-Audit/switch is most likely the reason why I can not the SQL_++++++++.AUD file.

Yes that's the reason why you don't see any SQL+++++.AUD files. Thoose files are not created until you activate the rsau/SQL-Audit/switch.
We have activated it an up until the switch was activated we didn't have any files and afterwards (and of course telling the system which tables to log) we did get the files.
Keep in mind this is going to degrade your system performance, we haven't noticed any major degree in performance but I guess when we put some more load on the system we will notice.
