restricting record in the select query

Is there any way to restrict the number of search (e.g 10) records in the SELECT query ?

select <fieldname> up to 10 rows from <tablename> into itab.

Hi,

Apart from the above options, you can also use 'Package size 1000' in the select statement to select only 1000 records.

This needs to be used in select endselect statement.
