Regarding Transport Request

Hi All,

I have a problem in Request Creation.

When I create reuqest for new development or for change in Z programs,

by default a workbench request will be created.

And when I will change in some standard SAP prgrams , a Custimizing Request will be cretaed.

I have a question that while I am creating a new Z

object for which new workbench request can be created .

But I want to use already created Customizing request for it as (Own request),

so that both can transport together as both task are related to each other.

Is it possible.

HI,

Workbench and customizing requests are maintained separately by system, so you can't able to put workbench in customizing. you have to create a separate workbench request.

its not possible to combine customising and workbench tasks/requests.

Hi,

For any new object which is being created there has to be only workbench request. System will promt that automatically. You can's change it.

Hi Rishi

Each request or task is classified by the type. If we mix in one request the basic funda of type will be lost, hence itz not advicable to mingle them. Below are the types of requests possible for your information.

W Customizing Request

C Relocation of Objects Without Package Change

O Relocation of Objects with Package Change

E Relocation of Complete Package

T Transport of Copies

S Development/Correction

R Repair

X Unclassified Task

Q Customizing Task

G Piece List for CTS Project

M Client Transport Request

P Piece List for Upgrade

D Piece List for Support Package

F Piece List</b>

Hi Rishi,

For example say U have created an Output Type in NACE.

say output type is ZABC..

note that this is a Z..

this one will be stored as a Customizing Request .

now u prepare a form and program for the same output type

this is stored as Workbench request ..

SAP allocates Requests for handling configurations and Code, as Customizing and Workbench ..

u cannot merge a Customizing into a Workbench ..this is understood.

while releasing this requests u need to take care that the Associated Workbench are dependent on Customizing..
