Regarding Table Maintenance...

Hi Everybody,

I have created a table named "ZNUMRB". I have also generated the Table Maintenance Dialog with the following parameters:

1. Authorization group - &NC& (w/o auth. group),

2. Function group - ZFNGRP

3. Package - ZABAP

4. Maintenance type - one step

5. Maint. Screen No - Overview screen - 5

6. Recording routine - no or user recording routine

But when i try to maintain the same table in SM30, i couldn see the fields to enter data. What could be the problem?

Hi,

What's the delivery class assigned to the table in Attributes? Make it as 'C'.

change to C and again delete the TMG and again create.

Table maintenance generator may not be active, check..

Hi

Delivery class is 'C' only, i have deleted the TMG & created it again. The table & function group both is active. In SM30 i cant even view the fields & it is not the problem with the field names.

Clear me one thing , Are u not able to see the fields or field names? If it is field names then give field labels in the data element .

select the screens and go to layout of the screens and change the names of the fields .

i think u r getting all * or special characters in the place of a field if so follow the above .

your problem will get solved

Hi,

I am not getting * or special characters in the place of a field. When i go to the layout of the screens nothing is displayed. Only a plain screen is displayed in the screen painter.

Hi,

DELETE the existing TMG first.

Creat a new.

1. Authorization group - &NC& (w/o auth. group),

2. Function group - ZFNGRP

3. Package - ZABAP

4. Maintenance type - one step

5. Maint. Screen No - Overview screen - 9001

6. Recording routine - no or user recording routine

NOW GO TO SE93

1. Givea Z transaction Code.

2.Give Package.

3.Transaction - SM30

4. Check all the checkbox for GUI support.

5.In default values : VIEWNAME = give table name

UPDATE = X.

SAVE.

execute the transaction and maintain the table.

Have you getting any error message? when press MAINTAIN..

Press NEW entries and see

may be first time, there won't be any data so nothing is visible.

so enter with NEW enteries and see.

there shuld not be any problem as such but then just check with the overview screen no as 1 and see whether your function group is activated or not.

after you enter the data in the maintainance screen ,click on cretae button if not your maitniance genrator will not be created.

now in sm30 give in ur table name and click on maintian

I have tried out the steps u have mentioned, but that also is not working.

Anji, when i click New Entries then it is coming out of that screen itself.

Zarina, i have created the Maintenance Dialog with the Overview screen as 1 & the function group also is active. But that also not working.

Hi Everybody,

My problem is solved. I created another Function Group by name YFGSD. Then generated the Maintenance Dialog for that Function Group. Now i can view the fields in SM30.
