hi all,

Im creating search help, i didn't understand import and export parameters and LPOS AND SPOS and what is the use of it. though i read f1 help i didn't understand

plz help me

importing - the parameters that you are passing to the program.

exporting - the parameter value that comes back from the program after the process.

LPos - this represents the position in the elementrary search help

SPos - this represent the position of the field in the dialog box that displays with search help values.

Suppose for example,

if you are passing WERKS and NAME1 fields in the search help.

then take the plant as import parameter (it means that it takes the plant value whatever we are passing the value and gives the PLANT AND its NAME value as output. so we need to put both WERKS and NAME1 fields are as export parameters so that we can see both the values in the output.

Here LPOS indicates that what is the position of the field which comes in the popup (like first place or second place of the input field).

SPOS means which position in the output it should display.

Hi leena,

In creatign search help we have to specify imp,exp,lpos and spos.

IMP:the values to be imported to the screen.if you check this then you have to assign search help for each field.

for example in my screen i have field1,field2,field3.

i checked field1imp,field2 uncheck,field3 uncheck.then when i press f4 help i cna fill values for field1 only.

EXP:if you check exp these fields are auomatically imported to specific fields.

for example i have f1,f2,f3 fields with imp and exp checked.them when i press f4 for f1 and select a value then remaining f2 and f3 are also filled with data.

LPOS:when you pree f4 you will see a list with data.to position the data on this list we will use LPOS.

for example we have f1,f2,f3 fields and the values that i had given are

f1 1

f2 2

f3 3

then in the list first u will see f1,then f2,then f3.

if you give like

f1 2

f2 1

f3 3

then in the list you will see f2 first,then f1,then f3.

SPOS:when you pree f4 help you will find a button called restrictions.in that restrictions screen to order fields same as above we use SPOS.
