Hi ,

Is there any way to recover the coding of a program if some how it gets deleted ,saved and activated . The program is on Local server.

Hi,

If the program is created for the first time in the development client, you cannot recover the coding.

Unless, if the program has once been moved to quality or production client, you can copy or dpwnload the program from these clients and then create a new program with the same name in the development client.

Hi

You use the program SDBUPD to upgrade the database instance. First you make a complete data backup for the database instance that you want to upgrade. Then you use the SDBUPD program to substitute the software.

You use this upgrade strategy if your database instance is part of an SAP system. This strategy is currently valid only for the instance type liveCache in the SAP APO system, when you are changing the version of the database software without changing the APO release (Selection of the Upgrade Strategy).

It is valid for all supported operating system platforms.

A data backup saves the contents of the data volumes, and the database parameter values needed for restores.

For the SAP DB database system, we differentiate between the following types of data backup:

· Complete data backup

· Incremental data backup

You can perform complete and incremental data backups in the operational mode ONLINE or ADMIN. When doing so, you can back up to a group of parallel backup media. Data backups are always consistent in themselves.
