reagarding XML idoc

Hi,

my requirement is taking data from XML file and convert them into idocs.

i have coded and every thing is over.

but with configuration of partner profiles, i have a doubt.

i have configured inbound parameters for partner profiles as SAP is the receiving system from XML.

but i read some where that we need to configure outbound.

if it is so, y like that?

generally we give outbound for sending and inbound for receiving right?

please clarify my doubt
