reading file from content server

Hi friends

I have to retrieve a PDF file from a content server and put it in another sharefolder.

The content server is running in another server then sap.

any idea about how this can be done.

You can use fm

SCMS_DOC_READ_FILES

or check SAP standard program

DMS_KPRO_READ

You can map a shared network location on your SAP file system and read/write from/to the location using the 'DATASET' commands just like you would if the folder was on your app server. Get your Basis team to provide the mapping and location. Otherwise, use FTP or one of the several file reading functions available and discussed on the site.
