Reading a PDF File

One of my requirment is to read a PDF file and store its data in a internal table.Is it possible to read an PDF File?

yes, just use GUI_UPLOAD with FILETYPE = 'BIN'

GUI_UPLOAD loads data of the PDF file in binary format. but that does bring actual text stored in the PDF file.

SAP has the DMS, or Document Management Service. This is well documented and is configured via SPRO and the addition of some function modules.

You can then attach these documents to materials, sales orders, just about anything. And you are not limited to just Excel sheets and PDF's.

Search this site using 'DMS' as a keyword. You should find some entries.
