Question about BD64

Hi Gurus,

I was initially informed that I need to maintain a distribution model in BD64 for all inbound and outbound Idocs from PI. However, I could post a FI document without maintaining the distribution model in BD64. So what is the purpose of BD64. Do I need to maintain it only for outbound message types or do I need to maintain it when I need to do some filtering?

I appreciate your help in this regard.

when master IDOC created , it consult the IDOC distrubution model whcih all recieving system intrested in recieving data. if the no reciever found, process ends.

if the reciever presents, than communcication IDOC generates.

We can maintain the filter the data in the distrubution model.

Does that mean I will have to create BD64 distribution model for every outgoing Idoc?
