Qualifiers in IDOC Segments

Hi Guys,

Can anyone explain me what is a Qualifier and how to find out the qualifiers in the basic type Orders05. I would be very thankful if you can give me some material or links for the same.

Hi,

Please check the IDoc documentation for ORDERS05 in transaction WE60.

In transaction WE60, go to the menu Goto -> User Settings... and check the options for Documentation Output and Field Value Output.

If you have a Idoc type and if there is requirement to define segments say month.Now two possible solutions are there to design the IDOC Type.First is to define 12 segements and make them optional.Second method is to define two segments.one containing the field name and other containing the value of the field.The first field will be the qualifier for the second field.

Other example to understand is that there can be different type of sale order type.

Now in the idoc instead of creting the segment for each different SALE order type and the document numer.Generally we will define one filed as the qualifier that will contain the type of sales order and second will contain the value of the number.The first field will act as a qualifier for the document number.

For the documetation of the IDOC segemnt you can refer to WE60.
