hi,

please help me to delete the purchase order no. how to delete the purchase order in ME23N T.CODE

there i have made one purchase order, that is wrongly did, the same i have to delete, i tried lot its not deleting, kindly let me know how to delete the same at your earliest and oblige.

HI,

I am not sure if you can delete a PO from the database. I think you can delete only the line items of a PO and it won't affect the records then.

Hi,

Open your PO in ME22n and select the line item you want to delete.

Below the Item overview, you can find the Delete Icon (5th Icon). Click on it to delete it. Then save your PO. The delete Icon symbol will appear near the line item.

Do Not Post Duplicate Threads.

Hi Sujatha,

purchase oders cannot be deleted from the database. As mentioned by Raj, you can only mark items with "delete flag".

If you really want to delete the PO from the database you need to archive the PO. The possibility of archiving the PO is dependend on the status of the PO, e.g. if there are subsequent documents (such as goods receipt), which are not complete.

Archiving can be done from transaction SARA and archiving object MM_EKKO. But you need to do some customizing before. If that PO should be deleted in a productive system, that is not a suitable solution, if you you did not use archiving until now.

If you mark the items as deleted, no subsequent documents are expected by the system and that is the usual way of handling incorrect POs.
