Hi Guys
Its simple but I dont know how to do it.
GUI status problem:
I need to change the function text of an item on the application toolbar. The problem is that the orig text was maintained in JA and the transalted to Eng. When I click on change it says "The logon language differs from the original language" and gives me 2 options maintain in orig lang , change orig lang. If i select the 1st option it shows the function text in JA, and I dont think I should change the orig lang by taking the second option. How can I view the translation and change the english translation?
Please help.
Points for all the help

Hi Sameer
Try to make logon in original language and then to translate.
I think it will solve your problem.

Click on mantain original language. then, GO TO -- TRANSLATIONS, when the system asks you for source and destination language, select JA and EN.
That's all.....

Hey guys I have maintained the transaltion from se63 and corrected the typo, I have one more question, is this transportable?

Use report RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER.
1st. Click on 2nd button (creat order). You must create one order per language.
2nd. Fill the parameters (language, date, user) and then click on the first button (execute), select you new order and your trasnlations will appear in the new order.
Good luck!

Hi,
Did you try using the transaction SE63
In SE63...TRANSLATION -> SHORT TEXTS -> USER INTERFACES -> USER INTERFACES..
Give the source language as Japan and Target language as english..
Thanks

Hi Naren,
Yes I did that, and successfully changed in the dev system, but I dont know how to transport it? I tried changing directly in prd but its not taking effect there.

You have to do the translation in DEV and then transport the order to PRD. Read the instruction I wrote before...

One method can be to include the object GUI Status in a TR and move it across.
The translations associated with it will move to next systems.
