Hi Gurus,

Is there any way to upload RFC destination names from .xls to system data container instead of adding.

Regards,

Mahendra

Hi mahi,

in case you have all rfc's in system ( SM59 ) and you just want to add them in SDC, then i dont see any problem copy and paste all the RFC names.

If i am wrong, tell me your question in detail.

vinay

Hi,

No it can't be done through the excel sheet. As in case of creating the system data container you are defining the whole system land scape with their destination through RFC.

you need to enter the details yourself.

Thanks

Shakti

Hello Mahendra

The previous answers are just nonsense:

Of course you can download and upload eCATT data including system data containers.

  • Call transaction SECATT

  • Choose option System Data Container and enter the container you want to download

  • Manipulate the XML file using an XML editor (my favourite one is Oxygen)

  • Upload the modified XML file again

When the system data container exists already a popup is displayed. Mark the checkbox Overwrite and execute the upload.

The system may send an error message yet the modifed system data were uploaded nevertheless.

Hi Uwe,

Thank you very much for your reply. Is it possible to upload from RFC destination values from spreadsheet to system data container?

Hello Mahi

Arrange your system container data in the Excel worksheet the same way like the columns are displayed in SECATT.

Then you can simply Copy & Paste the records from Excel to your container.
