Problem displaying authorization Table SM30

Hi all

Hi

I am working on finding SAP Authorization object in ECC 6.0. When I went to Table SM30-- TSTC, I get the following message.

“View/Table TSTC can only be displayed and maintained with restrictions”

Can anyone please let me know How do I fix this problem. Or is there any other table that gives the information about authorization objects.

Thanks everyone.

Hi,

This is not an authorisation problem. Look at the definition of the table in SE11, 'Delivery and maintenance' tab. Here the maintenance type can be set, you may also need to generate a table maintenance screen before you can use SM30. As this is a standard SAP table you should leave it as it is and use transaction SE93 to maintain transactions.

Regards,

Nick

se11 gives info about authorisation objects and how to create them

sm30 is for maintaing tables. SAP tables are normally not accessed with sm30

if you want to view the fieldvalues from a table use tcode se16n instead

and if it is a z table look in se11 in the table structure about the restriction on the table

kind regards

Hi,

TSTC table comes under delivery class type W ie You cannot transport the entered data with the transport link of the generated maintenance interface for tables of delivery classes W and L.

se11> delivery and maintenance tab> press f1 in delivery class

Hi,

TSTC is the table which stored all Transaction codes. If you want details about Authorization objects, use transaction codes SU20 and SU21.
