Hi Friends,
What is the performance in reading a cluster table?
i have designed a custom cluster table(like INDX table) and i am storing the binary data that is read from PDF/JPEG files.
A 3.5MB PDF file takes 1112 records in my custom cluster table.
Projection of files will be - Monthly 8 GB
Yearly around 100GB
and retention period for each file is 7 years.
As i am planning to store these files into the cluster table, and read from cluster table in a report on a button click.
So will this be a performance issue? ( by keeping the projection of size of files and retention period in mind )
what time does system might take to fetch 1200 records from 32000 records by using
IMPORT ITAB FROM DATABASE ZTEST_INDX(EI) ID LV_NUMBER
Any help on this is highly appreciated.
Regards,
Simha
