WHEN WE HAVE STORED THE PROGRAMME IN LOCAL OBJECT ,, HOW TO STORE THE SAME PROGRAMME IN PACKAGE WITHOUT CHANGING THE NAME OF THE PROGRAMME ?????

In SE38 .. enter program name ..
GoTO --> Object directory entry
In the popup click on the display/change .. and give the
Package there ..

copy your program, delete old program,
then recreate program with same name as before, when beeing asked for package then DO NOT klick local object again.

Hi,
Go to se80 ( repository browser ),
select local objects in dropdown and click display
Now find your object in the objects list,
Right ckick on the object and select " Change Package Assignment ".
Assign the package name.

Open the progran in the program editor ie SE38.
open menu bar menu
Goto->Object Data Entry ->click on change button(Pencil)
-> chnage the package and save.
it will ask for the request then give the transport request number.

Hi Usha,
You can go to the Transaction SE03 and over there under Object Directory, you will see an option Change Object Directory Entries of Objects in a Request . You click on that and you can store your object in a new package.

Copy your source code which is ther in the local object and then create new program and save it in package and then paste the source code which u have copied.

Change the package of a program by the following approach:
1. Open T-Code SE03
2. Click 'object directory entries' in Object directories (third from top).
3. Check the checkbox table for program and write down the name of the program then execute.
4. Keep the curson on the object name and click change directory in the application tool bar.
5. Give the package you want
6. Save

Hi,
Take the program in SE38. Got to Object Directory Entry. There you can maintain the package and then store it in a Workbench Request.
