Oracle DB connection

Hi experts,

Iam trying to connect external Oracle database.

I have made entries in DBCON table.

CONSTANTS : con_name TYPE dbcon-con_name VALUE 'REPDEV'.
EXEC SQL.
  connect to :con_name
ENDEXEC.
Iam not getting sy-subrc = 0.

And also made necessary settings in tnsnames.

Why iam not able to connect to Oracle?.Do i need to do any further settings?

Hi kaki,

I suppose, u have made the settings,

on application server of r/3,

and not your machine.

2. ask basis team to

test this new connection,

using sql plus

from application server itself.
