Hello!
are there any transactions in SAP that I can use to retrieve how many entries are archived during a certain period? Like for example, I want to know the number of entries that has been archived for table VBAK (Sales Orders) from June to September?
Thanks!

Hi!
You can use the most common archive document handler transaction for this: SARI.
It will be not so easy, but it's possible.

Hi,
Also, you can to tcode SARA for the arch. object , go to managament, and in management, do double clic on lines where you have the traffic lights. The system must tell you the number of objects deleted.
I hope this help you

Thanks!
Your suggestions are very helpful.
I just have one more question in mind, is it possible to check as well how much entries are archived in a Z Table? I am currently working in a custom table archiving and we want to know how much was archived.

Hi,
The same. If you have a Z-table archived, you must have an archiving object in tcode AOBJ and SARA must work for this object. To seach this object use the tcode DB15 for this table.

Hi All,
I also found different way on checking the number of entries of a certain table that has been archived.
This is through the AS_AFB (Archive File Browser) transaction. Collapse on the selections where the respective archive belongs (i.e. SD_VBAK, RV_LIKP...) and double click on the archiving session number. On the right part of the screen, click on the Archive File Tab and select the Generate Statistics button.
This will generate the number of entries that were archived in that session.
Thanks,
Andy
