Obselete function module replacement in ECC 6.0

I'm on ECC 6 and that function is not marked as obsolete... is this a trick question?

Hi,

In few older threads I found this FM as obselete & asking for replacement.

I have also checked the Function module documentation whether its obselete or not.

I have not found anything saying it as obselete.

Pls confirm whether this FM is Obselete or Not?

I am bit puzzled on this....

Hi Rahul,

This function module is marked as obsolete.You can check it in the table RODIR.This table consists of all Obsolete Function Modules.And if you observe one thing ,if you open this FM in SE37 and check the attributes tab there will be an disabled field "Function Obsolete".Presence of this field itself says that this FM is obsolete.

This function module is used in quite a lot of standard programs. I dont think it will cause any harm in using it.

I know its used widely by SAP in standard program, but unfortunately SAP doesn't give any guarantee for this in future...

In my opinion you can continue to use the FM GRAPH_SET_CUA_STATUS without any problems, confirming that the presence of numerous standard programs that use this method.
