Hello,

I am looking for a deiled document that explains and has some exercises as a step by step learning to Object oriented programming.

Is anyone aware of any links that I could use?

If now, can anyone recommend any good book?

Thanks.

Hello Vaishali

OO-programming consists of two main parts:

- OO-analysis and

- OO-design

A big help in OO-design are the so-called "design patterns" that have profed themselves as best-practice solution for recurring programming tasks.

I have found the following book very useful in order to learn and understand design patterns:

"Head First Design Patterns"

In november they will publish another book:

"Head First Object-Oriented Analysis and Design"

Have a look at Amazon at these books. The direct link is:

http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/hfobjects/index.html

If you can get along with the somewhat special way of teaching in these books they will prove to be valuable.

Final remark: These books focus on Java. Having an Eclipse IDE you can follow the samples in the book step by step. Any concept you have understood in Java can be easily transferred to ABAP-OO!

Regards

Uwe
