New Setup Authorization

Dear All,

Good day to you.

I like to know why i encountered error message " You have no authorization for this transaction in Plant XXXX)" after execution of T-code: MB52.

I ran SU53 to check the missing Authorization. Refer to attachment "SU53.gif"

This is how i setup the authorization:

1. Y_XXXX:MM-IM_DISPLAY contains the following:

  • Organization Levels

Note: There is no T-code, Activity, Authorization Objects in this role.

2. Y:MM-IM_DISPLAY&REPORT contains the following:

  • T-Codes
  • Activity
  • Authorization Objects

Note: There is no Organziation Structure in this role.

Question:

1. Must Organization structure must be setup together with the activity & authorization objects in  role: Y_XXXX:MM-IM_DISPLAY?

    If no, why?

If yes, please explain the reason?

Thank You.

Rgds,
Esther Chong

Yes - ADM940 training explains the SAP authorisations concept to you

For a visual understanding, go to SU56 and look at the user buffer to see how the authorisations appear. You will see that there is not single authorisation that meets the full criteria for the SU53 failure (ACTVT + WERKS)

You need to go back and learn the SAP security authorisation concept (Google or go to help.sap.com) and rebuild your role. Whilst at it, learn about SU24
