Module Pool Screen - Download

Hi Friends,

i have to copy the Module pool program from one server to another server. while doing this i need how to copy / download the screen from the server. i heard that one option is exist in the layout of screen.

please help me on this.

UTILITY>UPLOAD/DOWNLOAD> SAVE IT LOCAL PC.

THEN UPLOAD IN THE MODULE POOL OF ANNOTHER SERVER..

Hi,

In SE80, double click on the screen number and then in the menu, Utilities->More Utilities->Upload/Download->Download option.

Save it as a text file and then repeat the same process in the target system but this time use upload option.

Make sure you are in edit mode of the screen while uploading the same text file on the target system.

i tried to do like that.

it is asking the file name when i was downloading. but it is not saving the file.

Hi,

when i tried to download it as text file it is storing in the local PC.

when i uploading this file in the server it is giving Popup window like this.

Screen to be loaded is the

Screen OLD FILE NAME + SCREEN NUMBER.

NEW FILE NAME + sCREEN NUMBER will be terminated!

Should the editing

OLD FILE NAME + SCREEN NUMBER be continued?

Yes No Cancel

what ever i press it not storing in the new server.

if i press YES button it is giving that 2,052 bytes transferred in the status bar. but it is not storing.

if i press CANCEL or NO button it is giving that Processing Cancelled in the status bar.

please let me now correct way to copy the layout.

Hi,

First of all, are you trying to copy the screen layout say of screen 100 on one system to say screen 200 on another system?

If this is the case then you have to do some more work,

First download the file to your desktop then open it in Notepad and then wherever you seen screen number which is 0100 in the example, you replace it with 0200. Make sure you replace exactly in the same positions. That is 0 with 0, 1 with 2 and so on. Delete 0 and enter 0, delete 1 and enter 2 and so on..

If you have change the program name also then repeat the same procedure as above. Remember alignment and space are very important..
