Hi,

Please tell me the reason (logic) of assigning message type to idoc type using two different transactions, i.e. WE82 and BD69. In both transactions we do the same steps.

Regards,

Shabbar

When I run BD69 , there are no entries. Maybe this transactionis not used anymore.

Hi,

Thanks for all your replies. But I'm trying to figure out why we need to make entries in both transactions. As, I've read in more than one documents on SAP ALE configuration about making entries in both transactions.

Still I'm confused because both seems similar and we making same entries in both.

Hi Ali,

WE82 (ALE -> Extensions -> IDoc types -> Maintain message type for intermed. Structure -> EDI: Message Types and Assignment to IDoc Types)

BD69 (ALE -> Extensions -> IDoc types -> Maintain message type for intermed. Structure -> Assign message type to IDoc for ALE)
