Message Text Change

In SM37 transaction when i execute a job and the job gets cancelled.I go to the job log and

it says in the message text the reason

for cancellation.The text that is displayed

can be changed by changing the text description in the respective message no of the message class.When we double click on the short text that gets displayed , the long text should be displayed.

The requirement is that ,I want the long text to be different from that of the short text.Where can i go and change the Long text description?The Message type of the short text is 'E'.

Please Advice.

Go to SE91, enter the message class and number, click change. On the next screen, select the line for your text and click long text. Save and activate.

Hi

If the short text is equal to long one it means that message hasn't a long text.

U can update the texts (short and long) by trx SE91: u have to know the class and the number of the message (u should find out them from log).

But if the message is written at run time you can do nothing.
