Material Master Conversion - best load method?

For large volume (approx 600,000) material master conversions, which is the better load method:

BAPI BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA

IDocs MATMAS05

For our first conversion of 30,000 material we used IDoc and averaged 100@minute.

IDOC method is best for large number of records .
