Maintain a sap Table

Hi Guys,

I have simple issue I wan to modify data in a SAP table say LFA1 but the issue is that I am not able to do that in SE16 or in SE11 as it say’s that the table maintenance is allowed with restrictions. And my question is that is there any way I can maintain the data in the standard table without using SE11 or SE16 and with out using any module pool program (is there any technique other than these).

You can write a simple report.

Data: x_lfa1 type lfa1.

*-----To bring the existing vendor details

select single *

from lfa1

into x_lfa1

where lifnr = 'Write Vendor Number'.

*-----For Changing name

x_lfa1-NAME1 = 'Aman'.

Modify lfa1 from x_lfa1.

hi antony,

the thing is LFA1 is SAP. so you cant enter data in LFA1 directly.

the data whatever you enter XK01/XK02 is stored in LFA1 along with other vendor tables. so if you want to create new entries in LFA1, you can enter data creating a vendor thru XK01. if you want to change the entries, you can try from XK02.

Do NOT update standard SAP tables using custom programs. This is not a good idea.

As in emergncy we can make but not always. i know it will bring some of the inconsistency.

Check out is there any maintenance view exists for that table? If so, you can do it thru' view. Or else, you need to write a program to do it.

As replied by others, its not advisible to that as well.
